COVID UpdateNovember 5, 2020

Parents, Guardians, Students, and Staff,

The Waterloo School District has one confirmed COVID-19 case today in the Elementary School and Two confirmed COVID-19 cases today in the High School.  All students and staff that have had close contact with these confirmed COVID-19 cases have been sent home to quarantine for 14 days. That brings the total in the High School for the week to three confirmed COVID-19 cases.  Per District protocols, the High School grades 9-12 will be shifting to remote instruction only starting Friday November 6, 2020 and will not return to in-person learning until Monday, November 16, 2020.  The Elementary School and Intermediate/Middle School will remain open for all students in grades PreK-8 and do have any closures at this time.  School transportation and busing will run on a normal schedule for PreK-8 students.  All extra-curricular activities are still taking place for all students as normal, which includes Saturday's Volleyball games in Wausau.    If you have not been contacted directly, that likely means your child was not in close contact with one of the confirmed cases.  The Waterloo School District remains committed to offering both in-person and virtual learning for students whenever the case count stays below the threshold for safety set by the Waterloo School Board in collaboration with county and State Health Departments. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this pandemic.

 Sincerely,

 Brian C. Henning
